VW Tiguan-

The Tiguan R Line joins the line up in June 2013. Its unmistakable extended wheel arches, colour coded front bumper lower spoiler and matt chrome grille certainly make it stand out.

Other aggressive looking features include 18" 'Mallory' alloys, combined with 235/50 tyres while just £425 buys you the 19" versions running 255/40's. A small spoiler on the top edge of the tailgate completes the sporty look.

Inside the Tiguan R Line gains a flat bottom steering wheel, not dissimilar to the ones seen in Audi S and RS derivatives. Sports contoured seats get embossed with the 'R' logo along with chrome trims and aluminium look pedals. 2Zone climate control is standard on this range topper.

The R line has 3 engine choices but from launch only in combination with 6 speed manual gearboxes. Not ideal if you like the easy life that autos bring. The rock solid 140PS and 170PS 2.0 TDi's are the common rail diesel offerings while the 2.0 TSi 210PS petrol engine turns this model in to a rocket ship.

There are five colours to choose from. Candy white is £200 while Reflex Silver, Deep Black, Biscay Blue and Mountain Grey attract a £495 premium.
