Passat 3B Coolant Temperature Sensor Replacement

This guide will show you how to replace a Coolant Temperature Sensor on a VW Passat 3B Model. Click the link if you are unsure which model of Passat you have.

Remove the air intake pipe from the air mass meter to the throttle body.


Unplug the sensor at the back of the engine.


Pull out the horse shoe clip which retains the sensor.


Fit the new sensor and secure with the clip. Connect the electrical plug and refit the air intake pipe.


Replenish any lost coolant. Buy Genuine VW G13 Coolant
